Correction policy
Minor typographical or grammatical errors are corrected silently. Factual errors, misattributions, or significant numerical inaccuracies are corrected with a dated note appended to the article. Where a correction changes the meaning of a story in a material way, we publish a separate clarification article linked from the original.
